Industrial Rectifiers
PHASECON builds high-current rectifiers for electroplating, electrolysis, anodising, cathodic protection and metal finishing — in three designs, so the cooling and control suit the plant rather than the other way round.

One rectifier range, three ways to cool it
The right rectifier depends on your current, your duty cycle and your environment. We offer all three common types — forced-air, oil-cooled and IGBT switch-mode — with thyristor or IGBT regulation, digital metering and PLC compatibility.
That means we can recommend on merit: an air-cooled unit where it’s the sensible, serviceable choice; oil cooling where the currents or conditions demand it; IGBT where footprint, efficiency and precise control win. Compare the three below.

Air-Cooled Rectifiers
Forced-air-cooled, low-ripple rectifiers for continuous high-current DC. They are compact, efficient and easy to service — the workhorse choice for most plating and process lines.
- Low-ripple, thyristor-controlled DC output
- Forced-air cooling
- High continuous current capability
- Digital metering & PLC interface

Oil-Cooled Rectifiers
For the highest continuous currents — and the harshest, dustiest environments — an oil-immersed transformer and stack give you the thermal headroom and service life that forced air can’t. Sealed, rugged and built for decades of duty.
- Very high continuous current
- Oil-immersed transformer & stack
- Excellent thermal endurance
- Long service life in harsh duty

IGBT Rectifiers
A switch-mode IGBT rectifier does the same job in a fraction of the footprint, with higher efficiency and a much better power factor. Fast, tight output control makes it the modern choice for new plating lines and precision process DC.
- High-frequency switch-mode design
- Compact & lightweight
- High efficiency & power factor
- Fast, precise output regulation

Plating, electrolysis or cathodic protection?
Tell us the DC voltage and current your process needs and how hard the environment is. We’ll recommend the cooling type and quote a rectifier to match.
Control cards used in these systems
Every PHASECON controller is built around one of our own trigger or regenerative control cards. Each has a downloadable manual.
Spec your rectifier with us
Send your process voltage, current and environment. We’ll advise air, oil or IGBT and quote you.
